THE FINALS - MONACO

I worked as a Lead Environment Artist on the Monaco map for THE FINALS. My main responsibilty was leading the maps team to delivering a fun and visually striking player experience. This included planning, blockouts, creating assets, textures, materials, optimazation and working close to all the other departments. Monaco was the first map we built for THE FINALS where we pushed for photorealism with dynamic lighting in a fully destuctible environment using Unreal Engine 5. With a very small team we wanted to be able to build a top tier experience using photogrammatry combined with procedural workflows using tools such as Houdini and studio developed pipelines. Making destructible environments for games is really challenging, both from a tecnical and gameplay point of view. That said I must say I'm really proud of what we managed to deliver, staying true to the core pillars and creative direction of THE FINALS.
